KY Protocol Components

Yoga and Mindfulness for Healthcare Workers: Single-Arm Trial DESIGN: Single-arm clinical trial (no control group). POPULATION: Healthcare workers at two hospitals in Rome, Italy (N=40, 83.3% participation). DURATION: 4-week intervention. INTERVENTION: Combined yoga AND mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) course. NOTE: This is NOT purely a Kundalini Yoga study. The intervention combines yoga with MBSR. Specific yoga type and components not detailed as "Kundalini" in the paper. OUTCOMES: SF-12, STAI Y1 and Y2, PANAS. RESULTS: Significant improvement in Mental Composite Score-12 (43.5→48.1, p=0.041) and reduction in negative affect (16→10, p<0.001). IMPORTANT: The database classifies this as a KY study, but the paper describes a combined yoga + mindfulness intervention for healthcare worker burnout. KY specificity needs verification.
