KY Protocol Components

Kundalini Yoga vs. CBT for Workplace Stress DESIGN: RCT; employees randomized to 4 groups (2 yoga groups, 2 CBT groups). POPULATION: Employees from a large Swedish company. STRUCTURE: 10 sessions over 4 months, led by trained group leaders. COMPONENTS: Kundalini yoga sessions (specific techniques not detailed in paper beyond general KY practice). OUTCOMES: Psychological (self-rated stress, stress behaviour, anger, exhaustion, quality of life) and physiological (blood pressure, heart rate, urinary catecholamines, salivary cortisol). RESULTS: Significant improvements on most variables in both groups; medium-to-high effect sizes. No significant difference between KY and CBT. NOTE: Paper focuses on outcomes comparison rather than detailed protocol description. The 4-group design and 4-month duration distinguish this from other workplace studies.
