Medical Yoga (Kundalini-based) for Back Pain Rehabilitation PROTOCOL: Standardized medical yoga program based on Kundalini yoga, performed in groups. STRUCTURE: Twice per week for 6 weeks (12 sessions), led by experienced medical yoga instructor. DELIVERY: Group sessions at workplace + home practice (CD + written instructions provided). POST-INTERVENTION: Continued self-practice at least twice per week after 6-week program. COMPONENTS (Medical Yoga = Kundalini-based): • Breathing exercises (pranayama) • Postures adapted for people who are severely ill (sitting, lying, or standing starting positions) • Movements generally slower than traditional yoga • Meditation • Mantras COMPARISON ARMS: Exercise therapy (individual strength training, 6 weeks with physiotherapist) and Self-care advice (evidence-based booklet + exercise ball). NOTE: "Medical yoga" derives from classic Kundalini yoga (northern India/Tibet origins). Specifically designed to suit people who are severely ill.
